Rafe Mullarkey Furniture Limited

The central London workshop focuses on the strength and purpose of cabinet making whilst embracing new technologies to produce work that varies from limited editions through to bespoke site specific installations.

Rafe Mullarkey's design ethic stems from an understanding and respect for materials and the skills needed to transform them. The purpose of the piece and how it is made are of equal significance.

With over 20 years working internationally within the Fine Arts, Rafe has gained the necessary experience and knowledge to build up a fully equipped workshop with a small team of skilled professionals that fabricates artwork and gallery related furniture for internationally renowned museums and galleries, as well as installations for commercial interiors and retail displays.

Clients include Tate Modern, Tate Britain, The Conran Store, Gagosian Gallery, Fidelity International, Timothy Taylor, Marian Goodman Gallery, Lime Wharf, Machines Room, KS Objectiv, Cockpit Arts, Derek Hall Interiors, The Hayward Gallery, TreesLounge, Hus Gallery, Robilant & Voena, The Carhartt Store, Edel Assanti Gallery, The National Gallery, London, David Zwirner and The Royal Academy of Arts.

As a City and Guilds trained cabinet maker, Rafe works with many materials including solid wood, all metals and is an officially approved contractor for Corian. Working with international brands and artists the workshop enjoys providing bespoke creative solutions that fulfil each client's specific needs from the first drawing to the final installation.
